The Whitfield Hotel is undergoing a significant redesign to add luxury condominiums. The new plans call for a 12-story building and is expected to offer 81 hotel rooms and add 17 upscale condos. The Whitfield Hotel will operate under the Leading Hotels of the World brand. Stonehill Taylor Architects designed the building, and Stiles Construction handled construction.
The Whitfield condos would range from 1,500 to 2,400 square feet, and include two penthouses, measuring 5,500 and 6,000 square feet. The luxury condos will share amenities with the hotel, and is expected to include a rooftop pool, a large spa, and a rooftop café, while maintaining a separate condo lobby. Short-term rentals would not be permitted.
